The Platform

From receiving dock to five marketplaces, without a listing team.

Secondary-market inventory arrives unsorted, unlabeled and unpriced. rScan is the system of record that carries each physical unit through identification, cataloging, valuation, distribution and fulfillment — then books its margin. Throughput is bounded by how fast an operator can handle product, not by how fast a listing can be typed.

The Operating Loop

Six steps, repeated at volume.

The same loop runs whether a tenant is processing a pallet of mixed returns or a truckload of shelf-pull merchandise. Each step emits structured events, so the whole operation is measurable end to end.

01

Receive and scan

An operator scans the unit from the device camera. Identification resolves on-device against UPC, EAN, GTIN and Amazon FNSKU, with manual entry for damaged or missing barcodes. Scanning is continuous — enrichment happens behind the operator, never in front of them.

768,175 scan events to date — 450,769 in the trailing twelve months.

02

Catalog automatically

A known identifier resolves against a library of 77,116 normalized product templates and returns a complete record instantly. An unknown one triggers multimodal extraction: title, brand, model, description, imagery, dimensions, weight, category and channel attributes are synthesized into a schema-validated record, with imagery vetted and brands canonicalized.

Live catalog completeness: 100% category, 99.99% GTIN, 99.98% title, 99.8% imagery, 98.4% normalized brand.

03

Price against the live market

Comparable listings are gathered from the secondary market and filtered for genuine product match, then a reinforcement-learned valuation model selects a price that balances realized margin against sell-through velocity. Every price is bounded by a computed cost floor.

Grounded in 1.78 million secondary-market price observations, growing by roughly 183,000 per month.

04

Distribute across channels

One catalog record publishes to eBay, Amazon, Walmart, Shopify and Google Shopping, each through a first-party API integration with its own compliance layer — prohibited terms, restricted attribute values, trademark handling and title limits are enforced before publication, not discovered afterward in a policy notice.

183,881 marketplace listings published to date.

05

Sell once, everywhere

A unit listed on five channels is still one unit. Quantity reconciles continuously, so a sale on one channel withdraws availability across the rest before a second buyer can transact against it. Concurrent updates are serialized, and every marketplace change is recorded in an auditable ledger.

131,587 orders fulfilled through the platform.

06

Fulfill and book the margin

Orders from every channel land in one queue. Pick routes are optimized by shelf location, labels are rate-shopped and purchased in-platform, and delivery is tracked to completion. Cost of goods follows the unit from acquisition through sale, so contribution margin is a property of the item rather than a month-end reconstruction.

Returns, cancellations and disposal are first-class flows, not exceptions.

Capture Surfaces

One application, from the aisle to the receiving station.

rScan ships as a single application to the browser and to native iOS and Android shells, sharing one capture and inference contract. There is no separate mobile feature set to keep in sync.

MobileHandheld capture

Camera-based scanning on iOS and Android for aisle work, sourcing trips and spot checks. Identifier decode runs on the handset, so the operator never waits on a network round trip between one unit and the next.

WarehouseStation throughput

Browser-based capture at a receiving station with hardware scanners for sustained bulk intake. Long operations stream progress live, so an operator watches a unit resolve rather than waiting on a request to return.

Multi-tenantTeam and store scoping

172 independent tenant operations run on one deployment with data isolated per store, role-scoped access for staff, and per-user productivity tracking for operations management.

Warehouse & Operations

The physical workflow is modeled, not assumed.

Listing software that stops at “published” leaves the hard half of a liquidation business unmanaged. rScan models what happens to the unit on the floor.

Shelving

Assign & audit

Shelf assignment at stocking, with periodic audit flows that reconcile expected against actual placement.

Picking

Route-optimized

Pick routes ordered by shelf location to cut travel on multi-item pulls.

Returns

Reason-coded

Return processing with reason capture, restocking or disposal, and unsellable-unit tracking.

Analytics

Daily & hourly

Production, hourly throughput, employee metrics, returns and refunds, shelving and supplies reporting.
